CISRI PROGRAMS


The CISRI mandate is to promote scientific research, initiatives and education in favour of international cooperation (Art 1 of the CISRI Establishment Agreement – N. I-37542 of the United Nations Treaty Series- UNTS) and the CISRI activity can be summarized into the United Nations General Assembly Draft Resolution N.A/61/191 as UNITED NATIONS - CISRI EXPLANATORY MEMORANDUM



As consequence of its broad mandate the CISRI has established 6 Departments and 21 Commissions, focused on the various aspects of applied research for development and international cooperation, underlining that, in view of rationalization of work and minimization of expenses, all personnel and research staff of the CISRI organization is presently composed of volunteers

The Department of Programs takes care of various items for Sustainable Development and Innovation for Co-operation as

Rice cultivation
Innovative crops
Bio Gas
Solar Energy
Solar Cooking Devices
Water Sanitation Systems
Vaccinations
Food Emergencies and Disaster Prevention
(in observance of Paragraph 5 of the Preamble of CISRI Establishment Agreement) and performed in collaboration of the IEMO Organization (www.iemo.int)

Subsidiary Institution tot the CISRI is the CISRI SPIRULINA PROGRAM (CISRI-ISP) focused on the use of food micro-algae for development

Beside the internal programs the CISRI responding to the United Nations General Assembly Resolutions N A/60/L.36; A/60/L.37; A/60/L.56. (enhancement of security of humanitarian personnel) has developed a supporting Program for officers of fellow International Organizations, NGOs, CBOs (Community Based Organizations) and Staff/Consultants, especially working on emergency fields and has established by the issuance of an Official SAFE-CONDUCT, to enhance the security and the protection of humanitarian personnel in humanitarian situations
