SPIRULINA PRODUCTION

Please take note of the United Nations IRIN interview to Secretary-General Manini, on Spirulina
http://www.irinnews.org/Report.aspx?ReportId=89675

Spirulina can produce between 25 and 50 tons of protein per hectare per year , that means 156 times more than animal protein (beef) and 125 times more than rice. Under favorable climatic conditions Spirulina can double its volume and weight every 24 hours.

Spirulina can be grown in village, semi-industrial and industrial scale, each with proper characteristics and potentialities:

1) Village Scale (in artisanal basin)

2) Semi Industrial Scale (in Grand Basin )

3) Industrial Scale (in interconnected raceways)
